I Am Ali - 1200

John Ahee is a native of the twin island nation of Trinidad and Tobago. He immigrated to the United Staes in the early 1970s and in the late 1990’s landed in Athens, GA, the birthplace of alternative music. Here he thrived in the vivacious art scene and ended up making both a home and a name for himself there.
I am John Ahee
I am an immigrant from Trinidad and Tobago.
I was seventeen when I began to study Art at the now City University of New York. After graduation with a Bachelors degree in Fine Art I worked as a graphic designer at Coco-Cola.
I then taught in the Dekalb County School system before retiring in 1999 to Athens, GA, I find my inspiration from many places, music, food, nature, people. I love to use color to portray and evoke emotion. I want you to see what I see, but I am even more intrigued about creating pieces that make you feel what I feel.
